So I’ve reached 6K+ page views and I just want to thank everyone who has viewed, left comments, FRIENDed and has “FAVed” my work. I love the community that is here at Deviant Art. Since my last journal post the studio received the good news that Word Girl [link] has picked up an EMMY nomination for “Best Direction in an Animated Series.” We are ALL thrilled and are keeping our collective fingers crossed. (For those of you that don’t know Word Girl won an Emmy last year for Best Writing in an Animated Series)
Took my kids to see PIXAR’s UP! last weekend. WOW what a totally AMAZING film! I used to think that the two TOY STORYs and THE INCREADIBLES were Pixar’s best movies, but after seeing UP! this one BY FAR is their BEST FILM TO DATE!!! The animation is breathtaking, as usual, but the story itself is simply WONDERFUL! If any animated film should win a Best Picture Oscar (not Best Animated, but BEST PICTURE) it should be UP! If you have children (or even if you don’t) PLEASE……..RUN don’t walk to your nearest Cineplex to be part of this great adventure. More to come… - POPS
